[-- Attachment #1 --] Hello to all, SUCCESS: the upgrade has happened without any problem. Thanks to all and specialy to FreeBSD team for the great work, Nuno Teixeira ----- Original Message ----- From: Nuno Teixeira To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Cc: freebsd-stable@freebsd.org Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2001 11:30 AM Subject: Major upgrade: 4.3R -> 4.4R - Any problem? Hello to all, At home I'm tracking stable for some time and I'd never had serious problem with upgrades. In my server I only use releases and I'm using 4.3R for now. I'd like to know if any of you have made a major upgrade directly from 4.3R to 4.4R in a multiuser enviorment, i.e., do all process (buildworld, buildkernel, installkernel, installworld and mergemaster) in multiuser mode and via SSH. Please tell me if there is any problem of doing this direct upgrade or should I have to do someting else. Thanks very much, Nuno Teixeira [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2600.0" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello to all,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>SUCCESS: the upgrade has happened without any problem.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanks to all and specialy to FreeBSD team for the great work,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Nuno Teixeira</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV>----- Original Message ----- </DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr style="PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV style="BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; FONT: 10pt arial; font-color: black"><B>From:</B> <A title=nuno.mailinglists@pt-quorum.com href="mailto:nuno.mailinglists@pt-quorum.com">Nuno Teixeira</A> </DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial"><B>To:</B> <A title=freebsd-questions@freebsd.org href="mailto:freebsd-questions@freebsd.org">freebsd-questions@freebsd.org</A> </DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Cc:</B> <A title=freebsd-stable@freebsd.org href="mailto:freebsd-stable@freebsd.org">freebsd-stable@freebsd.org</A> </DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Sent:</B> Wednesday, October 17, 2001 11:30 AM</DIV> <DIV style="FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Subject:</B> Major upgrade: 4.3R -> 4.4R - Any problem?</DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello to all,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>At home I'm tracking stable for some time and I'd never had serious problem with upgrades.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>In my server I only use releases and I'm using 4.3R for now.
