Hey !

I have compiled xchat2 and evolution on freebsd ports when i trying to use them
They give me this error message.   

WARNING **: Invalid UTF8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text()

i have heard pango isn't utf-8 compatible yet but wondering is it possible to get pango use 8859-1 or 15 characterset.  The problem is i don't get some marks to work exsample (ä,ö).
