Hi, I'm trying to install FreeBSD 4.3 on an old HP NetServer LH Plus server, with Mylex DAC960PL (2.73-0-00 firmware, 4MB) card, with no luck. <dmesg> mlx0: DAC96PL, 2 channels, firmware 2.73-0-00, 4MB mlxd0: <Mylex System Drive> on mlx0 mlxd0: 20335MB (41646080 sectors) RAID 5 (online) No matter which installation process i choose (floppies - kern.flp & mfsroot.flp or bootable cd) i always get this error message: <debug> bus_dmamap_load: Too many segs! buf_len = 0xaa0 mlx0: I/O error - attempt to write beyond end of drive The strange thing is that i was able to install FreeBSD 4.2 with no problem at all. Installation went smoothly and 4.2 was running just fine. Any thoughts/comments/solutions ? Thanks in advance, Jacol. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jacek Jedrzejczak e-mail: jacol@ids.gda.pl -----------------[ It takes a good man to admit a mistake ]----------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
