When the bge driver is used for other cards, the problem does not occur. I also noticed that when disabling PREEMPTION the problem also doesn't occur when using the em driver. The messages i receive are: calcru: negative runtime of -891485461 usec for pid 45 (swi5: clock sio) Output of ps waux: root 45 0.0 0.0 0 8 ?? WL Tue03PM -2341058:-22.07 [swi5: clock sio] Lots and lots of messages like these are being generated. /var/log/messages is full of it. The scheduler im using is 4bsd. dmesg output: Copyright (c) 1992-2005 The FreeBSD Project.
