Install from CD should work as well. Then "pkg install desktop-installer" and "desktop-installer" to set up the GUI. Lumina desktop works well on these systems. It's probably the fastest full-blown DE. LXDE was really sluggish on my iMac for some reason. Some runaway fan issues on the PowerMac that are reportedly avoided by disabling SMP. -- Earth is a beta site.home | help
