The transfer rate from the CD is quite slow: 1-2 kbs. 2. The message for the first 102 chunks states the destination directory as `/' not `/usr' as I would expect for the binaries 3. Several packages "cannot be read from cd0" 4. As expected, the system fails to boot after starting to load. Things I done based on the FAQ and other documentation: 1. Set `eisa 12' so that the probe works 2. Disabled >1GB translation in BIOS 3. Adjusted the geometry of the hard drive so it agrees with the BIOS (Phoenix) (1023/64/32). 4. Allocated the entire disk: non-dangerously, standard MBR In addition, I've verified that all the hardware works by installing Linux (RH5.1) with no difficulties. >How-To-Repeat: Try to install >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
