This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_000E_01BFC40E.674F4DE0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Thanks guys, it worked. I don't know anything about using unix really = yet, so I couldn't even understand what the man page told me...but = thanks for the syntax, it worked. Now it gives me a new error: (EE) Unable to locate/open config file (EE) Error from xf86HandleConfigFile() Fatal Server Error: no screens found Is that talking about the monitor? Maybe I have to install that or = something? I just used the script that came with the XFree86 4.0 that I = got so I'm not sure what the config is. I looked in the log file it = told me about with some viewer or another that I couldn't figure out how = to get out of, but it didn't say any more than what I put in the error = above. Did anyone else out there have this much trouble trying to get = their Xwindows to got up and running for their first time? I know most = of it is because I don't know anything about unix yet, but I seem to not = be able to figure anything out very quickly.
