Thanks guys, it worked.  I don't know anything about using unix really =
yet, so I couldn't even understand what the man page told me...but =
thanks for the syntax, it worked.  Now it gives me a new error:

(EE) Unable to locate/open config file
(EE) Error from xf86HandleConfigFile()
Fatal Server Error:
no screens found

Is that talking about the monitor?  Maybe I have to install that or =
something?  I just used the script that came with the XFree86 4.0 that I =
got so I'm not sure what the config is.  I looked in the log file it =
told me about with some viewer or another that I couldn't figure out how =
to get out of, but it didn't say any more than what I put in the error =
above.  Did anyone else out there have this much trouble trying to get =
their Xwindows to got up and running for their first time?  I know most =
of it is because I don't know anything about unix yet, but I seem to not =
be able to figure anything out very quickly.
