I did compare multiple builds of ruby with diffoscope and dtrace does seem =
to
be a source of non-reproducibility in the package. So that seems like a good
reason for a DTRACE option, at least until we can fix dtrace to use
reproducible symbol names.

But I don't understand why using the external compiler would cause the link
issue, the symbols should be present regardless of which compiler builds th=
em.
