This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_00FA_01C06948.69302AA0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Can anyone suggest a network monitoring utility along the lines of ntop that is properly sorted out. In theory at least, ntop should be a good = thing, unfortunately its doesn't appear to be sufficiently debugged to be = usable.=20 Apparently the port for ntop is a geriatric one that is reported to have = major=20 problems with resource usage, & the later versions are only alpha style = things=20 best left to ardent hackers. I did download mrtg & attempted to configure it but I couldn't get = anywhere with the configuration instructions. From what examples I've = seen, the html interface / information provided by mrtg is inferior to = that of ntop anyway ... at least for my=20 purposes. ------=_NextPart_000_00FA_01C06948.69302AA0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.50.4134.600" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Can anyone suggest a network monitoring = utility=20 along the lines of ntop</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>that is properly sorted out.
