It's kind of like Tomsrtbt (i think that's the name), or Trinux.  these
are both small linux systems capable of booting off a floppy disk and
they run in RAM.  they can be pretty handy.
As for the text editor thing, there is an editor called pico, but only
loosers use it (no offense, just an observation of people i know that
use pico).
