I've never tried this 'till you mentioned it, but have just tried a few different configurations of xfs and there's no difference. I did find out however that the Xlib error I was getting running xset -q (ie: extension "XFree86-Misc" missing....) is because I'm running XAccel and not XFree and DOES go away when I switch to the XFree server. However the font error messages do not. Nothing gets logged to the error file I set up for xfs except "xfs notice: terminating" when I stop the server. Any other possibilities you can think of ? ;) Thanks much --- Randall D.
