The SGML-to-HTML converter sgmlfmt generate many file1.html, file2.html ... filen.html file. wosch@bsd <18:42:57> [/usr/share/doc/FAQ] 597 bash$ ls *.html FAQ.html FAQ128.html FAQ158.html FAQ40.html FAQ70.html FAQ1.html FAQ129.html FAQ159.html FAQ41.html FAQ71.html [...] I don't like fileN names. The info2html converter use the title as file name which looks better. E.g.: wosch@bsd <18:41:02> [~/de/info/diff] 592 bash$ ls diff.info.Adjusting_Output.html diff.info.Line_Formats.html diff.info.Alternate_Names.html diff.info.Line_Group_Formats.html diff.info.Arbitrary_Limits.html diff.info.Making_Patches.html diff.info.Backups.html diff.info.Marking_Conflicts.html diff.info.Binary.html diff.info.Merge_Commands.html diff.info.Blank_Lines.html diff.info.Merging_Incomplete_Lines.html diff.info.Brief.html diff.info.Merging_with_patch.html [...] -- Wolfram Schneider <wosch@apfel.de> http://www.apfel.de/~wosch/
