The question is rather if anybody uses Transputers anymore :)

Last time I checked (summer 1995 ?), I used the driver on FreeBSD
2.0.X with little or no problems.
On a 486/33 with ISA boards it had a maximum transfer speed of
400-500KB/s unidirectional.

The driver does not use interrupts or DMA; it should have a
working select(), though.
