npm warn Unknown global config "python". This will stop working in the next
major version of npm.
npm error Exit handler never called!
npm error This is an error with npm itself. Please report this error at:
npm error   <https://github.com/npm/cli/issues>;
npm error A complete log of this run can be found in:

*** Error code 1

I do not know what the error means and why it occurs. If the problem is indeed
the non-default version of node, then perhaps the port must set the needed
version
of node explicitly?
