I have been completely successful with 4.8, 4.11, 5.4 and 6.0

using dhcpd and tftp(from inetd) and NFS for exporting the filesystem
(i.e. the default setup)  I've done it on Intel and IBM motherboards,
and others with Intel NIC cards.
