Hello, Just set up my cable modem but cant get it connect to the net. I think need help with the setting in rc.conf. ifconfig_fxp0="inet broadcast 255.255.255.255 arp debug" Im not sure the above setting is correct or not. Pls point me out. ifconfig -m fxp0 fxp0: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 ether 00:a0:c9:8c:3f:b5 media: autoselect supported media: autoselect 100baseTX <full-duplex> 100baseTX 10baseT/UT P <full-duplex> 10baseT/UTP And do i need a DHCP client for my cable modem? Installed dhcp-1.0pl2 from freebsd's port collection. But the dhcpd.conf file is kinda complicated to setup, can someone show me an example? (sorry im too busy,no time to figure it out.:< ) Thanks a lot!! kevin To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
