I think we're going to have to push it out just a tad, like maybe 2 weeks or so. There are some things that haven't arrived yet from jp.FreeBSD.org that I really need, and I'm willing to give them just a bit more time over there to round up the diffs. There's also the small matter of a reasonable test program, Mike Smith's arrival here at WC providing the additional push behind my long-stalled project to build an honest-to-goodness test lab here using a checklist of target hardware and a collection of purpose-built scratch boxes. We're going shopping tomorrow and should have something approaching a respectable test lab set up by mid-to-late next week. I'd like to use this facility aggressively in trying to avoid any of the last-minute breakage that has so typified our previous releases, and for that I need just a bit more time to get everything set up. A rushed 2.2.6 also buys us nothing, considering the goal. Anyway, so perhaps March 1st would be a better day to put the RELENG_2_2 branch into BETA status.
