I've just run into a second Linux application failing for similar reasons on -current (PRE_SMPNG). Both of them exit, leaving a core file. Invoking gdb on that program/core for both of them leads to an exit message of some kind, along with a message about not being able to find a shared library. Is the latter an artifact of gdb not being a linux binary, or is it an indication that something is wrong in the executable?
