This has since been fixed:

make: "/home/markj/tmp/Makefile" line 2: Malformed conditional (${OSVERSION} >=
901500 && && (${ARCH} == i386 || ${ARCH} == amd64))
make: Fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue
make: stopped in /home/markj/tmp
