If Charles> not, I'm interested in any alternatives. You probably need to do this with cvs. Using the anoncvs server instructions, check out a copy of stable (-r RELENG_4). Then go into the directories you want to move backwards and "cvs update -r <date or tag>" ... there is probably a tag for the change (read cvsweb).
