Yup, I just derived the same information.  I'm grubbing through the
header files right now trying to figure out just what the heck Garrett
intended, and I've also sent him a letter chewing him out for very
clearly failing to test this before committing it (a quick compile of
GENERIC would have pointed it up in minutes).

Oh well.  It's just especially annoying to come in expecting to see a
snapshot rolled and finding an error instead.  At least it was fairly
far along before croaking, but until I find a fix for this my snapshot
CD is dead in the water..  Sigh...
