Hi folks, I posted this message on a HP-UX news group some time ago
but I hav'nt had any responses, thought I would try myself out
amoung FreeBSD'ers.

We are trying to get 2 unix boxes networked together using slip.

	SERVER                     Client
       ==========                 =========
      |	HP-817	 |	         |   PC    |
      |	HP-UX9.0 |<------------->| FreeBSD |
      |	ppl-SLIP |               |slattach |
       ==========	  	  =========

Everything is working perfectly on the Client side (thanks to some
previous help), but we are having problems pinging the client from the
server side. The link has to be bi-directional and it is not.

My questions are on the HP side:

Is there something that has to be set up in-order to do this?

Do we have to set up the interface using ifconfig?
If I do a netstat -i on the HP side, there is no link to the client
ni0 is used for loopback and ni1 down.

btw:( ni0/1 ~ sl0/1)
