in the kernel config file you have to put the following line:

options MD_ROOT_SIZE=2200      # same as def_sz

where the number (2200) should be the mfs_image_size,
same as the one in the line
#PicoBSD        2200    init    4096            32768

I think i committed to -stable the fix for the 'bridge' floppy type,
but i probably forgot the other types.
