Do you not need to speand alot of money. I have 2 suns i currently use and i spent under 1k together. This is what you can do, look at the usenet forsale workstation or forsale.sun groups and buy one from there. I got a LX (sun4m) with 32MB ram, 1G HD, type5 keyboard+mouse with shipping for $650. And the ELC (sun4c) with 24MB RAM, type 4 keyboard+mouse for $150. I had a 1G external drive already for the ELC. It was notmuch in the way of cash. And for monitors the ELC is builtin and the LX for awaile ran a illyma (sp?) 17in with a 13w3->vga cable, and the monitor is on a switchbox so my other PC can use it. But then i picked up a 14in sun monitor for the trade of a 486dx2-80 chip motherboad and 12mb of ram. Usenet is your best bet, unless you can convince some cs dept of a college to give one to you. And just look for FAQs on the net. The best thing you can ever get is the Feild Enginers Handbook, it is the bible of sun hardware. That should give you a lil taste on the cheep and easy info you can get on a sun. Oh, I am volenteering help for testing the port for the sun4c, I can not give up my LX yet.
