That's how our current system works. The problem that I see is the fact
that currently, it re-reads the entire log file when the process
(squidhelper) is restarted. This causes the Internet to "die" (the cache
server doesn't respond during this time). I'm trying to work out a more
logical way of tackling this.

Possibly a rewrite is in order, but I'm not entirely sure yet.
