If you're looking for current pre-built binary packages but can't find
them in packages-6-stable, you should look at some of the other
directories which are more regularly updated:

drwxrwxr-x 95 110 0 2048 Feb 20 15:43 packages-6-stable
drwxrwxr-x 92 110 0 2048 Oct 17 12:31 packages-6.0-release
drwxrwxr-x 95 110 0 2048 Mar 08 14:44 packages-6.1-release

Note that, as Kris said, this will change once 6.1 goes -STABLE -- by
this I mean, at that time, you'll find the packages in
packages-6-stable.

Hope this helps.
