When I last asked Sun, they claimed to conform to the X/Open CAE Specification: Protocols for X/Open PC Interworking, XNFS, Issue 4. Chapters 10, Network Lock Manager protocol, and 11, Network Status Manager protocol, are particularly relevant. In theory that spec contains enough information to do the job.
