Ihave HPT370 and also had LOTS of trouble with it, when using RAID under heavy loads. Just kills the disk, and needs a reformatting. I am not sure why, but have gone back to a non-RAID setup. This seems to work. As far as I am concerned, I will never get anything HPT again..
