Its not any more of a conspiracy than the "car" industry. Nuthin' really new here :) They're are many parallels with both now today=2C and not just because of t= he digital computer revolution.... =20 I started in the automotive industry many moons ago=2C and since the early= 90's I've watched Microsoft copy their "planned obsolecence" ideals=2C ver= y similarly to the auto-industry=2C (specifically manufacturing). In the old car days its used to be "...yup=2C they sure don't make them li= ke they used to....". You know that's true=2C 'cause to buy a "new" car=2C = up until lately somewhat=2C you needed a small mortgage and you'll be throw= ing that car away in 5 years anyway just like a "Bic" butane lighter. =20 I agree=2C but if Microsoft made it a priority to built hardware/software = to work really well and last longer than my coffee=2C then they wouldn't ev= en be 1/1=2C000th as rich as they are today. =20 The new cars/PC's are both pure "junk" in less than 5 years. =20 =20 > Date: Sat=2C 12 Dec 2009 06:42:55 -0500 > From: aryeh.friedman@gmail.com > To: freebsd-chat@freebsd.org > Subject: A theory on why microsoft makes such crappy stuff after all thes= e years >=20 > Microsoft making crappy products is really a conspiracy.
