Hi: At the Forte for Java download site there are formats for Solaris, Linux, Windows, and class. The directions say that "other" unix's should use the Solaris download (to use the .sh files). I had thought that I would have to use the Linux format. Is it possible to run Forte (and JBuilder or VisualAge) by using the Solaris formats under FreeBSD? (what about using the .class files format?) I'd be happy to hear from anyone with an opinion about Java IDE's or instructions on how they got their IDE working, whether it was under Linux emulation or native.
