I got `make packages' running on macOS (cross compiling) now. It runs pretty
fast in 4min 20 seconds on a 4 years old MacBook Pro M1 (10 CPUs 8P+2E)

I compiled https://github.com/freebsd/pkg myself with some minor fixes due
issues with memrchr and st_mtim on macOS.

A test script/patch for pkg 2.4.2 is available here
