In a server environment, administrators typically assign static IPv6
addresses manually and do not use the EUI-64 method.
Switching to RFC 7217 should impact mainly desktops and laptops (the main
beneficiaries of this privacy feature).
While some cloud setups use SLAAC, a major release (16.0) is the
appropriate time for such a change to ensure we follow modern security
standards by default.
I support this change.
