No, you can use packages to upgrade.  However, the adm64 server is
currently down.  In general, the following will work, though:

env
PACKAGESITE=3Dhttp://www.marcuscom.com/tb/packages-i386/6.1-MarcusCom/Lates=
t/ pkg_add -r gnome2

This would be for a new install.  For upgrades, you will set PACKAGESITE
accordingly, then use portupgrade -P.
