Hi, Soren Schmidt (sos@) just released his ATA mkIII patch [1] for RELENG_5 and CURRENT in order to test it before getting it into the tree. As you are experiencing problems with your ATA RAID controller, it would be interesting to test, both for you and sos@. Hope this helps.
