When it comes to patches, the ones for carp system are from FreeBSD's HEAD. They are not my own. They *improve* things for FreeBSD 11.2 and but make it crash elsewhere afterwards. And sorry, but I can't agree on RC system - issuing *standard* ifconfig commands, just a bit more often than usual must not crash the kernel.
