https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=214518 Bug ID: 214518 Summary: Extremely slow refresh rate in vt on VMware Fusion (EFI firmware) Product: Base System Version: 11.0-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: michel@ngelo.eu CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Booting FreeBSD 11-RELEASE into a VMware Fusion virtual machine set to use the EFI firmware leads vt to be "very slow" while showing kernel messages. Latecy returns within acceptable limits when the shell comes up. To reproduce: 1. Create a new VM in VMware Fusion 2. Edit the .vmx file within the VM directory and add the line firmware = "EFI" somewhere. 3. Boot from the amd64 ISO disc1. To be clear: BIOS is the default for a new VMware Fusion VM for a FreeBSD host. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
