[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi all, I need help. I encounterd a problem about memory. I am using FreeBSD-RELEASE 4.6. My system can allocate only about 500MB at most. My machine is used to analyze network traffic and the program is written in Perl. I am not sure that is resulted from Perl or FreeBSD. I wrote a C testing program to test whether I can get more than 500MB gradually, but it failed. So, I am asking for help about how to config FreeBSD to allocate more memory. Thanks for your help. muzi [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=big5"> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2600.0" name=GENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=2>Hi all,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>I need help.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2> <DIV><FONT size=2>I encounterd a problem about memory.</FONT></DIV></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>I am using FreeBSD-RELEASE 4.6.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>My system can allocate only about 500MB at most.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>My machine is used to analyze network traffic and the program is written in Perl.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>I am not sure that is resulted from Perl or FreeBSD.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>I wrote a C testing program to test whether I can get more than 500MB gradually, but it failed.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>So, I am asking for help about how to config FreeBSD to allocate more memory.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>Thanks for your help.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>muzi</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV></BODY></HTML>help
