From what John Baldwin said, it's deliberate because -P does
something whacky with Athelons or something like that.

<insert your kern floppy>
# mount /mnt /dev/fd0c
# echo "-P" > /mnt/boot.config

.. should do what the people who actually want to use
sysinstall for serial installs (which probably out numbers
Athelon installations, but whatever, at least there's a
hack^Wworkaround.)
