By "zombie", do you mean it has the zombie flag set, or that it is wedged in some other way? Note that in UNIX semantics, 'zombie' specifically means a process that has exited, but whose parent process has not picked up the exit results, and it sounds like maybe you mean it has wedged but not exited?=20 Thanks, Robert N M Watson
