Others can give performance details, but as far as I know these all are so=
=20
called software-RAID cards.
Real hardware models start at 3Ware 7506-4L and Adaptec 2400a. I would=20
choose these hardware models for better performance and reliability.
They cost more, but are usually worth the money.
