I was unable to boot my A7V133+900MHZ Athlon when my SONY CD-RW CRX140E was plugged in to the primary or secondary IDE controler. However, ever since I moved the drive to the Ultra ATA100 IDE (Promise) controler, the system has been booting and running fine. The only boot-time freezes I've had are when the board is probing my GeForce2MX video card, and that has nothing to do with FreeBSD.
