I've got a CD I'd like to look at with my FreeBSD box, but it's not
very normal.

Specifically, it's the CD from the 1999 Open Source conference. I know
it has an HFS partition on it among others, but am unable to get any
kind of reasonable info from it.

Here's what disklabel says:

root# disklabel cd0
# /dev/rcd0c:
type: SCSI
disk: MATSHITA
label: CD-ROM CR-8005
flags: removeable
bytes/sector: 2048
sectors/track: 32
tracks/cylinder: 64
sectors/cylinder: 2048
cylinders: 46
sectors/unit: 94304
rpm: 3600
interleave: 1
trackskew: 0
cylinderskew: 0
headswitch: 0           # milliseconds
track-to-track seek: 0  # milliseconds
drivedata: 0

8 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize bps/cpg]
  a:    94304        0   unknown                        # (Cyl.    0 - 46*)
  c:    94304        0    unused        0     0         # (Cyl.    0 - 46*)

Here's what fdisk says:

root# fdisk /dev/rcd0c
******* Working on device /dev/rcd0c *******
parameters extracted from in-core disklabel are:
cylinders=46 heads=64 sectors/track=32 (2048 blks/cyl)

parameters to be used for BIOS calculations are:
cylinders=46 heads=64 sectors/track=32 (2048 blks/cyl)

fdisk: invalid fdisk partition table found
Media sector size is 2048
Warning: BIOS sector numbering starts with sector 1
Information from DOS bootblock is:
The data for partition 1 is:
<UNUSED>
The data for partition 2 is:
<UNUSED>
The data for partition 3 is:
<UNUSED>
The data for partition 4 is:
sysid 165,(FreeBSD/NetBSD/386BSD)
    start 1, size 94207 (183 Meg), flag 80 (active)
        beg: cyl 0/ sector 2/ head 0;
        end: cyl 45/ sector 32/ head 63

This last thing intrigues me. Does this suggest that there is a UFS
partition on this CD? Or is it just random garbage in a partition
table that FreeBSD doesn't understand?

Enquiring minds want to know. I'd really like to get access to this
disk. Worst case, I can use hfsutils' xhfs to copy everything out.
But that's not really what I'd like to do. It'd be nice to have the
real thing, right?
