Hi, sorry for an incomplete messge just sent out by accident. The prob i have met is: I was compiling FreeBSD with a Myrinet interface and it comiled and linked without any error message. but when I boot, at the network inititalizatin phase, there is page fault somehow. seems it can see the Myrinet card but the dirver(?) is not installed correctly. sicne it doesn't give any error even warning, i have no idea where to look into. The full boot mesg is follows; Automatic reboot in progress... /dev/rwd0a: clean, 532326 free (550 frags, 66472 blocks, 0.1% fragmentation) Doing initial network setup: hostname domain. lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 vx0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 142.103.10.116 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 142.103.10.255 ether 00:60:08:26:b1:ce net.inet.tcp.sendspace: 16384myriApiReset returns 1 Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode fault virtual address = 0x50 fault code = supervisor write, page not present instruction pointer = 0x8:0xf020da8f stack pointer = 0x10:0xefbffcf8 frame pointer = 0x10:0xefbffcf8 code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b = DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1 processor eflags = interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL = 0 current process = 51 (ifconfig) interrupt mask = net tty panic: page fault syncing disks... -> 65536 net.inet.tcp.recvspac2e: 16384 -> 655306 net.inet.udp. maxdgram: 9216 -6> 41600 3 done Automatic reboot in 15 seconds - press a key on the console to abort Rebooting... If you can give me some direction on where to look for the probs, it will be much apprecaited. Thanks, -- Jasmine.
