In case it wasn't clear, here's the reason I'm asking:
$ make FORMATS=txt
<snip>
/usr/local/bin/links -dump book.html-text > book.txt
Unknown option -dump
*** Error code 3
Stop in /FreeBSD/home-ex/setantae/doc/trees/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook.
