Hi,

There is some work going on to make FreeBSD MIDI support more
user-friendly. Currently many people use audio/jack_umidi, but now there
is also audio/alsa-seq-server . Also there is audio/midipp . A lot of
information about USB MIDI on FreeBSD has been gathered here:
https://github.com/helloSystem/ISO/issues/261 . For multi-channel USB
audio devices I strongly recommend to configure virtual_oss . It allows
you to split the audio device into multiple smaller interfaces, which
can be used simultaneously.
