And a lot of people have been trying to explain to you that decisions
are not taken solely on technical merit, neither in FreeBSD nor
anywere else.

I don't really feel this is necessary, the only person who is in
doubt about this seems to be you, but considering the amount of
noise you are able of making, maybe that alone is sufficient reason
that core should spell out for you what most other people seem to
understand already.

There is no doubt that if core did issue such a statement, you will
use it the way Ken Star used subpoenas against Clinton, everybody
will have to dance to the letter of this ruling, or there will be
hell to pay with Dillon.

So before core commits to such a statement for your sake, let me
ask you this related question: would you be willing to accept the
statement if it also stipulated what is reasonable and what is not
when it comes to your own behaviour and conduct in the project ?

The reason I ask is this: Quite frankly, there are more than this
one person who is sick and tired of your total lack of teamsmanship,
and who think it is getting more and more tiresome with these
"Dillonizations" everytime you don't get things your exact way.

Simple math will prove that you have wasted far more developer time
in all the appearantly endless email fights you create than you
have ever and will ever be able to contribute to the project.

I'm also particular saddened that I hear more and more developers
express sentiments along the lines of "I don't touch code in this
part of the kernel any more, I don't want to even talk to Dillon".

My personal opinion is that your "sell by" date in FreeBSD is past,
way past, and that you contribute negatively to the project by you
mere precense.

I also know that I am not alone with this feeling.

So before you ask for the clarification from core, be warned that
what you get back could be a two edged sword with an unpleasant
off-center balance...
