I had the same problem you are /w the yukon NIC on my asus mobo, p8505 i believe. I updated the driver, but ended up throwing a $5 smc1211 nic in there. Mine is hooked up to a 10/100 switch going to my router. I noticed other machines still working while this one "lagged". The mobo is new etc, so i assume the NIC is craphelp
