( well, > compiles and runs; doesn't do anything :-/ ) There was discussion back in August (or maybe July) about porting a CPU load monitor from Linux to FreeBSD. Linux gets the load information from the /proc filesystem. FreeBSD can get it from system variables. The bottom line is that the two methods are not compatible and some rewriting is necessary to get it to work.
