--=-DslAXhvhB2emyOImdcf8 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi Gerry, Hope the weekend went okay for you. I had a go pursuing apsfilter over the few days, but with no success. I sent in a report to apsfilter-help, but haven't any contact with anyone there, except from the maintainer about another issue concerning an upgrade to apsfilter to 7.2.4. Upgading apsfilter did *not* solve my problems (as I suspected) though:-( My attempts to draw him on why my apsfilter printing problems, drew a blank however. I had to give an update on this solution at work today, and at least the linux guys have an alternative in place, ready for initial rollout. They've gone with CUPS - from what I've seen, it does indeed work. I had one guy tell me of his own (personal) woes with apsfilter, hence his putting forward CUPS as the way forward for that project. Do let me know if you're still willing to crack on with me in getting to the bottom of this, though. I should mention, that you're one of only two people that have come back to me indicating that they're able to print from FreeBSD to windows shared printers via samba. This is against a backdrop of a litany of questions on every =A3inux printing forum from users who aren't able to print to Win2K using apsfilter as well.=20 This does lead me to entertain the thought that it might well be that this probably just doesn't work. Like I said earlier, lots of posted questions, very little in the way of (relevant) follow-up answers. Let me know either way, okay?
