[-- Attachment #1 --] The point of MFC'ing cpio(1) changes is that it has fixed some old bugs that can potentially damage user data. Personally I'd rather replace it with the BSD pax(1) found in the base system, if we had a proper GNU cpio(1) test suite to make sure that we did not break something.
